Knockfarrel Produce is run by Jo Hunt and Lorna Walker on the 40 acre family croft, 4 miles from Dingwall.
We keep a small herd of free range rare breed pigs, which live in family groups. We take time each day to make sure each individual pig is happy and has everything it needs (including a scratch!). They live in large paddocks, grazing rye grass in summer and turnips in winter – growing slowly over an extended period to produce a dense, succulent meat full of flavour. All processing happens within 10 miles of the croft – and Jo has developed his own recipes, often using our croft grown herbs and garlic. Look out for our small batch pork pies, which we make for special occasions and Christmas.
